For melting in microwave: In a glass bowl, add one bag of “melty’s”. Microwave on high for one minute. Stir with rubber scraper. Heat on high an additional minute. Stir. Continue heating additional 30 second intervals until melted. Do not overcook. Do not add water.
For stovetop double broiler: Add small amount of water to bottom of double broiler (approximately one inch). Heat one bag of “melty’s” on low until melted. Do not overcook. Do not add water.
Fill bottom half of each mold with one tablespoon of melted chocolate. Add one Oreo cookie to each mold. .
Gently push down in the middle.
Do not push cookie to the bottom.Cover the top of each cookie with one tablespoon of melted chocolate.
If you have excess on the top, scrape off with a rubber scraper.
Put in freezer for 5 minutes. You will notice the center is dull in appearance when the cookie has completely cooled.
Gently turn over mold and place cookies on drying rack to decorate. If you add melted chocolate stripes or circles, melt your “melty’s” in a glass container. Let cool slightly before adding to your candy bottle. Decorate as you wish! I bought store bought candy flowers and sprinkles for mine.
